Scavenger Hunt Results

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis swimming team would have been competing at the Delta League Championship this week. Instead, the coaches joined forces with the Davis Senior coaching staff and held a combined team Zoom meeting with "rival" Davis Senior High School that featured a virtual a scavenger hunt. Over 70 student-athletes joined the event.

In the "At Home Scavenger Hunt", the swimmers were each asked to go grab something in their home matching the description from a coach. Swimmers were able to score points for their team by grabbing the item and typing "done" into the chat box. We awarded points to 1st-5th place (6-4-3-2-1). We used a total of nine items and then plugged the results into the Meet Manager Software for the final results. The Blue Devils edged the Troubadours 60-52 with St. Francis "winning" the contests for finding "Something Purple", "Something Fluffy", 500+ page book, "something yellow, shiny and small" and a milk carton the fastest.

The coaches also introduced a "Video" competition for the athletes with a Medley Relay Video Challenge. The athletes are working together in teams of four and are working together (mix of SFHS and DHS on teams). The deadline to turn in the videos is Saturday at Noon.
