DAVIS, Calif. – The St. Francis swimming team posted 21 varsity and 24 Frosh/Soph Section qualifying times in the opening meet against Davis on Friday. The Blue Devils outscored the Troubadours 108-61 not counting diving results.

"We got to see a lot of the girls that are not with everyday and get out race," said Head Coach Adriana Contreras. "We have a better idea how they will fit in over the course of the season. It was a good meet to shake off the rust and get back to racing."

"Hopefully we find a rhythm and the girls get the hang of it," said Head Coach Adriana Contreras.

Contreras highlighted freshman Sarah Ranlett as one of the standouts of the meet.

"She brought a lot of the energy I was seeing from some of our senior leaders in Chloe Beebout and Laura Freeworth," said Contreras. "She brought that in her swimming."

The 400 Freestyle relay (LK Holliday, Chloe Beebout, Sellers and Maddie Hoppa) won in a tie 3:55.02. Beebout won the 100 backstroke in 1:03.45 and placed second in the 500 freestyle (5:31.02). The Troubadours also had second-place finishes by Laura Freeworth in the 200 individual medley (2:19.48) and 100 butterfly (1:02.98).

The 200-frestyle relay recorded a second-place finish.

St. Francis takes on Franklin on Wednesday in their second consecutive road dual meet at 3:30 p.m.
