SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Ava Chavez and sophomore Erica Jaffe each earned two individual awards while the 200- and 400-yard freestyle squads also snared nods as NISCA announced its high school All-America honor roll this week.

The top 100 performers in each event earns All-America distinction. Chavez ranked 20th in the 200 free with a 1:47.42 while holding the No. 24 spot in the 100 butterfly at 53.58. Jaffe tied for 37th in the 100 backstroke (54.53) and nabbed the 52nd sot in the 200 individual medley (2:01.57).

Chavez and Jaffe also joined seniors Maddy Ching and LK Holliday on the No. 33-ranked 200 free relay (1:34.75). The 400 free relay foursome of Chavez, Ching, junior Grace Mering and Jaffe had the highest ranking of any Troubadour honoree, finishing 18th with a 3:25.31.

All six award-winning times are school records. Chavez will swim at Cal starting this fall, while Ching signed with UC Davis. Holliday is also headed to UC Davis as a member of the Aggies' equestrian team.

The NISCA All-America awards honor a season in which St. Francis won its first Delta League crown since 2015 and its Sac-Joaquin Section championship since 2011. Head coach Brian Nabeta earned Delta League Coach of the Year honors, guiding the Troubies to a program-best sixth at the state championship. SF also posted dual wins against Davis and Carondelet during the regular season.
