Alumna Mary-Kate Schildmeyer '15 Joins Volleyball Staff

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Alumna Mary-Kate Schildmeyer '15 has joined the St. Francis volleyball staff as the assistant freshman coach. She will join fellow alumna Brooke Bueno on the bench leading the Freshman Volleyball team this season.

"We are excited to have Mary-Kate join our staff," said Head Coach Alynn Wright. "As an alumna of the program she brings the knowledge of what it takes to play in our program. I know that she will be able to pass along that knowledge as well as the grit and determination it takes to be the best one can be. Her patience and positive energy will also help the girls she will coach."

Schildmeyer recently graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in Psychology, graduating with a 3.907 grade point average. She was a member of the Key of Sea A Capella group and studied abroad during her college experience.

A Folsom native, Schildmeyer was a 2015 graduate of St. Francis and two-year letter winner for the Troubadours under Wright. She tallied 170 kills with 20 aces and 127 digs as a senior, helping the team to a 30-12 season and the Sac-Joaquin Section semifinal round.  Schildmeyer's sister Mady also played volleyball and graduated in 2018.
