Hamilton's PR highlights Senior Day dual with Falcons

RIO LINDA, Calif. – Junior Sinclair Yadao posted a winning score of 253.25, sophomore Maya Hamilton broke her previous personal best by more than 10 full points, and senior Jaiden Jackson was honored as part of Senior Day festivities as St. Francis hosted its final diving dual of the year Wednesday afternoon at Capital Divers.

Yadao's score is her highest of the year. She finished 61 points ahead of teammate Paige Vicente, who compiled a strong 192.45 total for her six dives. Appropriately, the highest-scoring Christian Brothers diver was the Falcons' lone senior and a close friend of Jackson's: team captain Kate Ruecker finished with 180.38 points for third place overall.

Hamilton went 174.80 for fifth place, improving on her previous PR of 164.65, set at St. Mary's back on March 17. Yadao, Vicente and Hamilton were the only Troubies in action on Wednesday, with St. Francis now in its second week of spring break.

Jackson did not compete for SF but was on hand to be recognized as her team's lone senior. She has competed in three meets in her final season, hitting a best of 169.45 two weeks earlier at Rio Americano. Jackson also completes her second year as the diving representative and the DEI Officer for the Troubadours' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Wednesday's meet is the final six-dive format for the Troubies in 2023, but the team has one more home meet: the Jesuit/St. Francis Invitational on Friday. This meet also features the team's annual Booster-Q event. Start time is 4 p.m.
