Alumna Marisa Kolokotronis ’13 returns to the St. Francis water polo program as a varsity assistant and the junior varsity head coach in 2019.

Kolokotronis played four seasons for Ivy League power Brown University. She earned ACWPC Honorable Mention All-America honors as a senior after leading the team in goals (69), points (97) and steals (33). She helped the Bears win the Collegiate Water Polo Association title as a senior. Overall, she scored 190 goals in her career.

At St. Francis, she was a two-time All-American and two-time USA Water Polo Academic All-American. She was a four-year letter winner and co-captain. She was named the Offensive Player of the Year in 2023 and a three-time all-area selection. She participated in the US Olympic Development Program from 2010-12. She also was on the swim team for three seasons.

She was a four-time ACWPC Superior All-Academic honors and garnered Academic All-Ivy honors. Kolokotronis graduated from Brown in 2017 with a degree in Urban Studies.

Kolokotronis has coached with the 12U girls team with American River Water Polo club from 2012-13 and led the Brown Water Polo Elite Summer Camp in 2015.

She currently is a project manager for The Grupe Company.
