SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Saturday schedule for the Franklin Preseason Tournament for both the varsity and junior varsity teams has been canceled and will not be rescheduled due to the rain.

The varsity team went 3-0 over the first two days of the tournament including a 13-3 win over Pioneer on Friday night. Paige Herbert and Hope Jenkins each had four runs batted in for the Troubadours as Jenkins went 4-for-4 and Herbert went 2-for-3. Jenkins (4-0) also got the victory on the mound.

Varsity was scheduled to take on Benecia tonight at 5 p.m. and JV had two games at Bartholomew Park this morning. The first game got started just before the rain and eventual cancellation.

The teams return to the field on Monday at Laguna Creek at 4 p.m.
