Vanessa is in her first season on the St. Francis water polo coaching staff as the head coach of the junior varsity team.

Morales played collegiate volleyball at Merced College, scoring 94 career goals to rank among the top1 5 in school history. She also ranks among the all-time regular season and career leaders in steals. She helped her team to Coast and NorCal Championships in 2011.
