Houck and Slater Earn NISCA Water Polo All-America Honors

SACRAMENTO, Calif – Rising senior Kendall Houck and rising junior Libby Slater have been named to the 2018-19 National Interscholastic Swimming Association (NISCA) Girls Water Polo All-America teams announced by the organization. Houck garnered fourth-team honors, while Slater was named to the fifth team.

Houck was the team's Offensive Player of the Year in 2018, finishing second on the team in goals (47) and first in assists 929), points (76) and steals (72) for the team. She enters her senior season with 129 career goals, 84 assists and 184 career steals.

Slater was the Player of the Year for the program after scoring a team-best 48 goals, the second-best total in school history.

Both players were Sac-Joaquin Section first-team selections in 2018. St. Francis earned a CIF Northern California Regional berth in 2018 and finished runner-up in the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs to Davis.

NISCA announced seven teams honoring a total of 98 players across the nation. Houck and Slater were among 50 California prep players on the squads.

The Troubadours have had at least one player recognized by NISCA in each of the last three seasons and fifth and sixth All-Americans since 2014.
