JV Volleyball Wins Second Tournament Title of the Season

MCCLELLAN PARK, Calif. – The St. Francis Junior Varsity volleyball team swept through the CIVT Tournament of Champions Saturday at Capital Sports Center. The Troubadours defeated Oak Ridge in final 25-22, 25-21 to complete an undefeated day.

St. Francis (23-1) avenged a loss in the Chris Craft Invitational final, a loss that ended the program's 65-match win streak. They have since run off 16 straight win, winning the Stockton Invitational and TOC titles.

The Troubies opened with a 25-12, 25-20 win over Oakmont and then posted wins over St. Patrick's (25-4, 25-10) and Lincoln of Stockton (25-2, 25-10)  in pool play. St. Mary's was the next victim for SF 25-4, 25-15. St. Francis reached the final win a win over Marin Catholic in the semifinals 25-23, 27-25.

St. Francis hosts Pleasant Grove and Elk Grove this week.
