Volleyball’s Alexa Edwards Earns All-Decade, All-State Honors for Edwards and Eichhorn

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior volleyball standout Alexa Edwards continued to earn postseason honors following her four-year career for the Troubadours. She was recently named to All-State 16-player first team by CalHiSports.com and was chosen for SportStars Magazine 10 player All-Decade team. Junior setter Ellie Eichhorn was named to the CalHiSports.com All-State Junior Third Team.

Edwards was along the All-Decade team celebrating 10 years of SportStars magazine. She was the youngest player on the list.

Edwards led the Troubadours to four CIF NorCal appearances led by a berth in the semifinals in 2018, the 2019 Sac-Joaquin Section title and four Delta League titles. She was the Sacramento Bee All-Metro Player of the Year in 2019 and three time Delta League Most Valuable Player. She finished with 2,083 kills and 1,577 digs. In her career.

She will play collegiately at the University of Pacific in the fall.

Eichhorn was third in assists and assists per set in the Delta League, earning All Delta League honors.
