Volleyball’s Jesiree Moral Commits to Fresno Pacific

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior setter Jesiree Moral has made a verbal commitment to sign with Fresno Pacific University to attend and play at the school next fall.

"When I visited the Fresno Pacific campus on my official, it felt like home," said Moral. "I was in love with it and I felt like I belonged."

Moral has been three-year letter winner on the varsity team, recording over 1,200 career assists. She tallied 754 assists as a junior.

She has been part of three Delta League champion teams, two Sac-Joaquin Section runner-ups and two CIF NorCal playoffs teams in her career.

"I am very excited for Jes to make the commitment to Fresno Pacific," said St. Francis Head Coach Alynn Wright. "I think it is a perfect fit for her. She will go in the program and help turn it around with her energy, skill-set and desire to be the best she can be. She will help them tremendously."

Moral will play for Head Coach Shasta Millhollin, who is in her first season leading the Sunbirds after four successful seasons at William Jessup where she is the winningest coach in school history.

"I did not know about the school at first until my club coach told me about it," recalled Moral. "I was actually supposed to play for the Coach Millhollin a couple times at Synergy (club) and have always loved her as a coach. So when I found out she was coaching there I became very interested. I liked what I saw."

Fresno Pacific is a NCAA Division II program playing in Pacific West Conference.

"The volleyball program has a very young team, but I am very hopeful for this season and my incoming season," said Moral, who plans on majoring in Law with a minor in psychology.

For Moral, playing close to home was a factor in her decision while also giving herseld a true college experience.

"Location was definitely very important to me," said Moral, who likes to do fashion design in her spare time. "I think Fresno is the best balance. It is not too far from home but if I want I can come back to Sacramento on the weekends or to just as easily to LA or the Bay area."

Moral will join her classmates at the St. Francis NCAA Signing Day Celebration on November 13 at 8:30 a.m.
