What does Senior Night mean to you?
"It is crazy and it has not really hit yet. I have always been the one planning them. It is going to be weird on Thursday. I am really excited. It has been great to see all the teams I have played on and all the people I have been privileged to play with."
How do you grade the season thus far?
"I think most people would give it an A. I feel like we are not even close to being done yet. We are 30-2 and I think we have a lot of work to do yet. I would say a B+. Once we start piecing everything together, we are going to be good."
What are looking forward to about signing day and your commitment to Pacific?
"It is great. I have been waiting for it for so long. It has been three years and I am finally here. I am in count down mode. I am really excited it is happening. I am blessed to be able to play for (Pacific coaches) Greg, Korey and Catie. I want to help make the program even better than it is right now. They are doing really good this year and I am excited to go there and make a difference."
You have had numerous individual accolades but you are always team first. Where did you learn that trait?
"I learned it from my parents. Volleyball is a very team-centered sport. I always have things I can work on and I could not have accomplished anything without my teammates. We win and we lose together. I donlt play for me. I want to help everyone make their experience better."
What do your individual accomplishments and records mean to you?
"I don't really thing about that when I am playing. After the season is over, I will sit back and think back on that. Right now I am in state mode, get to state and help my team anyway I can. I am grateful for the individual accolades but as a captain I put the team before myself."
What have you learned from the disappointment of past postseasons?
"I have learned it is the little things that matter. We have been really close every year and we have gone farther each season. It comes down to the grit you have and how you react in the close games. We practice comebacks and challenging situations all the time. We see them as fun and we are developing into teams that are not scared of them."
What has your experience as an SBO been like this year?
"It encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone. I usually stuck to my volleyball crowd and sports people. I have had a platform with volleyball but now I am on a bigger platform as an SBO. I try to reach out to people and be more aware of what is happening at school. I am trying to make more connections."
Any secrets about Homecoming this year?
"I can't say anything but it is going to be a fun Homecoming. We are really excited."
If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, where would you live: Harry Potter.
What is your greatest achievement: Winning the Leadership Pillar last year.
If you could have one superpower: Read people's minds.
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future: Past.
What is the concert you want to see: Drake.
What teacher has inspired you the most: Dr. Pitton.
If you could trade places for a day with one person: President Obama.
What is your favorite holiday: Christmas.
