What did the all-tournament honor in Merced mean to you?
"I was really excited to be selected all-tournament. I feel like I have been working really hard at practice. It has meant a lot to me that it has been able to pay off in games."

How does the team feel after the undefeated start and the big wins early this season?
"We are really excited about how our preseason went. It was one of goals to win a lot of preseason games. It was exciting for us. We are ready to be league."

How has the team got better since the start of practice in August?
"We have been working on communication and holding each other accountable. It has been getting better as we go along."

What have you learned from your experience with the varsity program?
"I have learned to trust the coaches and your teammates, taking the opportunities to learn from every time you are on the court. During freshman year, valuing the reps I got at practice and taking advantage of listening to my older teammates really helped me be the player I am now."

How has the team dealt with the string of road games to start league?
"We have taken it as an opportunity to get some team bonding in before matches. We always go get some food after school or do some homework together. We always go to Jack's."

Tell us about your summer.
"My club team went to Nationals. I had practice and weights in preparation and I also went on the Bronx Service Trip."

How was your service trip experience?
"It was the best experience of my entire life. I did not know any of the girls going before the trip so I made a lot of new friends. I met really incredible people in New York. We served at an assisted living facility and I met a lady named Gloria who is 98-years old. We talked for an hour and half and I have become Pen Pals with her."
