Suzanne Salazar is in her second season on the varsity team. She is the co-president of the Asian Pacific Islander Club, dances with ERA and serves on the Retreat Team and as an Ambassador. She hopes to attend the University of San Francisco and study kinesiology.
Can you believe it is the second half of your senior season?
"Honestly, it is really sad. I spent a lot of my time with St. Francis volleyball the past three years. It is crazy that we are the ones leaving now."
What has been your favorite memory with St. Francis volleyball?
"My favorite memory will be the sideline cheers. I feel I help the team with the cheers and being a loud voice. It is a big help on the sidelines and I think it helps create the energy on the court."
What is the team feeling on the great start and being undefeated?
"We feel great because we have a lot of talent on the team. We can't wait to continue to use it in the playoffs. We have a young team our talent we will here for a while."
Do you have any plans for college at this point?
"I want to go to USF (University of San Francisco). It is far but not too far. When I visited, it was such a pretty campus and has a lot of access to nature and the ocean. There is great diversity and awesome educational opportunities."
What is a fun fact about you?
"I have a scar on my knee from a nail because my brother and I were fighting over a panda bear. It happened when was really young."
What are your hopes and dreams for the rest of the season?
"The team hopes we can win states. It is our highest goal. We want to end on a good note, win or lose."
If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, where would you live: Avatar.
What is your greatest achievement: Making the varsity volleyball team.
If you could have one superpower: Omnipotent.
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future: Past.
What is the concert you want to see: Bruno Mars.
What teacher has inspired you the most: Mr. Pitton.
If you could trade places for a day with one person: Beyonce.
What is your favorite holiday: Christmas.
Hero: My mom.
Favorite Dinner at Jacks: Steak Salad with Urban Fries.
What is on your Bucket List: Travel.
