Kiley Kane is a junior in her third full season on varsity. She was named to the PrepVolleyball Star Search List at Junior Nationals in Indianapolis with her Rage club. She has been volunteering at the SPCA since the seventh grade. She played a lot of beach volleyball this summer.
What are you most looking forward to about your junior season?
"I am looking forward to being able to have chemistry with our team. We are starting off really close because we have a lot of returning players. The two new players are already really close. We have a really good bond and it is going to be a fun season. We all push each other to be the best we can."
How have you got better over the summer?
"I have been doing a lot of training, conditioning and extra reps. I feel like I have been putting in the work."
What have you learned from being on varsity that will help you this year?
"I feel like leadership is a big thing. You have to look out for your teammates and push them to be the best they can be os we can be good as a team and striving to be the best you can be."
What is a fun fact about Kiley?
"I volunteer at the SPCA because I love animals. I try to go at least once a week."
Dog or Cats?
"I am a dog person. There was this Mastiff that came in that was huge. He came in and I sat on the ground and he just pinned me and fell asleep. It was cute."
What do the preseason rankings mean to the team at this point of the season?
"Honestly at this point of the season, the rankings were based on last year. We got placed well but we need to make new history this season. It is a new team and new season."
If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, where would you live: Mamma Mia.
What is your greatest achievement: Making PrepVolleyball Star Search List at Junior Nationals.
If you could have one superpower: Grant more super powers.
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future: Past.
What is the concert you want to see: Eric Church.
What teacher has inspired you the most: Mr. Norman.
What is your favorite holiday: Christmas.
