Get to Know: Volleyball's #13 Ellie Eichhorn
Ellie Eichhorn is starting her second season on the varsity team and third overall at St. Francis. She recorded over 400 assists as a sophomore (3.8 per set average).
 
What are your expectations for the season?
"Our biggest goal with all the talent we have coming in is states. We want to make it really far and that is what we are looking forward to you."
 
What did you learn from last year?
"I learned how to work with the team really well. The transition from JV to Varsity is really different. You have to learn to work with a new set of girls and get to know them."
 
What is your strategy from the setter position?
"Being the setter is like being the quarterback of the team. There is more than one of us. But we all try to work a really quick offense so that is what we have been working on and leading the team in that aspect."
 
How is excited are you and team to get the season started?
"We are all really excited and ready to run around campus for Gameday. It is going to be fun."
 
What did you do this summer?
"I played a lot of volleyball and training. I play for Synergy and had a lot of training with my coaches to help me get ready for the high school season."
 
What was the highlight of your summer?
"I went to Florida for a volleyball tournament and I have some family there."
 
What are your individual goals for the season?
"My goal is grow and learn from the people around me."

What is your greatest achievement: Achieving a 4.0 GPA.
If you could have one superpower: Flying.
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future: Past.
What is the concert you want to see: Black Keys.
What teacher has inspired you the most: Mr. Mitchell (8th grade).
What is your favorite holiday: Christmas.
