Three Troubies Named to MileSplitCA All-State Teams

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis track and field team had three athletes named to the MileSplitCa.com All-State teams announced by the website. Junior Isabella Fauria, sophomore Reyna Johnson and freshman Cate Joaquin each received recognition.

Fauria was selected to the Junior All-State team. She placed fourth at the CIF State meet in the 800 meters with a personal-best 2:190.49, ranking No. 2 in her class and fourth overall in the state. She won Sac-Joaquin Section DI and Masters titles in the 800 and 1600 meters in 2019 and helped the St. Francis Distance Medley Relay post the No. 3 time in California and No. 13 time in U.S. at 11:51.90.

Johnson was an honorable mention choice on the MileSplitCA.com Sophomore team after placing fifth in the 100m hurdles at the state meet. She also ran on the state qualifying 4x100-meter relay at the state meet after winning the Masters title.

Joaquin was also named to the honorable mention MileSplitCA.com Freshman team. She reached the 3200m final in the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters, placing fifth overall after advancing in the 3200m (2nd) and 1600m (3rd) at Sections.
