DAVIS, Calif. – The St. Francis track and field team swept Davis and Elk Grove in dual meets Wednesday behind a sweep of the sprints. The Troubadours defeated Davis 75-60 and Elk Grove 106-20.
Sophomore Reyna Johnson won the 100m hurdles (14.76) and 100 meters (12.66), while senior Serena Shimada took the 300m hurdles (46.93). Senior Chanel Grimes won the 200 meters in 26.73.
Junior Haley Silva won the 800 meters in 2:23.60 with freshman Emily Castles placing fourth (2:33.60) and freshman Claire Silva fifth (2:37.70).
Johnson and Isabelle Grassel placed 1-2 in the long jump with jumps of 16-2.25 and 16-2.00. Senior Sarah Healey record third and fifth-place finishes in the shot put and discus events.
The Troubadours also swept the two relay races.
St. Francis will be in action at the Halden Invitational at Davis Senior High School on Saturday.
