Track and Field Falls to Cosumnes Oaks 68-66

CARMICHAEL, Calif. – The St. Francis track and field team lost to Cosumnes Oaks 68-66 in a Delta League meet on Wednesday.

The field events led the day for the Troubadours. Sophomore Molly Chambers won the pole vault with a best clearance of 10-0, while freshman Kamryn Carter took the high jump with a clearance of 5-0. Senior Sarah Healey was second in the discus with a throw of 84-0 and has a personal-best shot put of 29-11.5 to place second.

Sophomore Reyna Johnson and Serena Shimada went 1-2 in the 100m hurdles with Isbella Palchak completing the sweep. Shimada won the 300m hurdles in a personal-best 46.87.

Senior Isabelle Grassel was second in the 100m in 12.85 with senior teammate Chanel Grimes posting personal-bests in the 100m (12.86) and 200 meters (26.62).

In the Frosh/Soph meet, Gabriela McGahan won the 100 and 200 meters.

St. Francis celebrated their 134 seniors before the meet in a ceremony with their parents, Athletic Director Mark McGreevy and Head Coach Rod Jett.
