Kristi Spector enters her seventh season as the Head Tennis coach at St. Francis High School. She has led the Troubadours to the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs each season and won or shared the last four consecutive Delta League titles (2015-18). She has led the program to a combined 97-16 overall record in her six seasons and a 66-6 league mark with 15 student-athletes combining to earn 28 all-league honors.

St. Francis won the Delta League title for fourth consecutive season in 2018 as the team was runner-up in the section finals and reached the CIF NorCal Regional semifinals for the second straight season. Spector was named the Coach of the Year for the third time.

The team had their best season under Spector in 2017. St. Francis went 19-1 overall on the season and were 12-0 in the Delta League to win the league title, capturing the title for the 28th time in school history and third consecutive.

The Troubies advanced to the semifinals of the CIF/USTA Northern California Regional Championships before losing to eventual champion Los Gatos. It was the second consecutive CIF NorCal appearance for the program and equaled the best finish in school history. The team also won the Sac-Joaquin Section title. It was the first section title since 2011 and 10th overall in school history.

St. Francis reached the quarterfinals in 2016 at the CIF/USTA Northern California Regional Tennis Championships under Spector before a 5-2 loss to third-seeded Amador Valley. It was the first NorCal appearance since 2011.

The Troubadour tennis team also advanced to the Sac-Joaquin Section finals before losing to Oak Ridge (7-2). SF finished with an 18-3 record on the season, posting a perfect undefeated 12-0 mark in Delta League play. It was the second consecutive league title for the Troubadours and Spector was named the Delta League Coach of the Year.

In 2015, the team posted a 15-2 overall record, including an 11-1 Delta League mark to finish tied for first with Franklin. It was the first league title since 2012. Daughter Avery Spector was named the Delta League Player of the Year. Sophomores Kiya and Kyla Jackson lost in the finals of the Delta League and Sac-Joaquin Sections doubles tournaments. The duo from Elk Grove both earned All-Delta League honors for the second consecutive season. Sophomore Marisa Fat also earned all-league honors.

St. Francis advanced in the SJS quarterfinals in both 2013 and 2014 seasons.

Spector and her husband, Dan, have two daughters: Avery ’16 and Kendall ’14. Both played tennis at the school and currently attend Cal Poly.

Spector played soccer at Palo Alto High School. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 1991 with a degree in communications. She recently won the USTA 4.5 District team title with her Arden Park team to advance to sectionals in the summer of 2016.
