Lacrosse Win Holy Stix 20-2 over Christian Brothers

MATHER, Calif. – The St. Francis varsity lacrosse team rebounded from its only loss this season with a 20-2 win over rival Christian Brothers in the annual Holy Stix match at Mather Sports Complex.

The Troubies were led by senior Jade Borg with five goals, while sophomores Maggie Price and Sophia Gorona each scored four goals in the match and combined for seven assists.

Gabby Bauman added three assists and a goal. Junior Judy Cates and sophomore Izabel Quackenbush tallied two goals each and junior Allie Belafsky and senior Jorie Keitges contributed to the win with a goal each.

Price had seven draw controls to lead the team.

The Troubadours took control early with five different players scoring to start the game. Overall, Borg scored all her five goals in the first half.
