Bob Deaner begins his first season with the St. Francis golf team as the program’s assistant coach. He will assist with the varsity team.

Deaner has coached for four seasons in the Parochial Athletic League. His daughter is a freshman on the team. Deaner is a long-time coach of youth sports. His experience over the past 12 years includes coaching little league baseball for nine years, a travel competitive baseball team for four years and the OLA and St. Ignatius middle school golf teams for four years. The teams Bob coached at OLA and St. Ignatius won the PAL Championship three times.

Deaner has been married to his wife, Christine, for 22 years. Both of Bob’s children play golf--Jack (16) plays for Jesuit High School, and Ava (14) plays for St. Francis High School.
