STOCKTON, Calif. – The St. Francis Junior Varsity Red basketball team went 1-2 in its opening weekend at the St. Mary's Thanksgiving Jamboree. The Troubadours posted a win over Heritage, had a close loss to Carondalet and loss to Folsom. Jadyn Weaver led the team with 37 points over three games (12.3 ppg.).
Jadyn Weaver led the team with 12 points in the opener to Folsom, a 55-21 loss on Friday. In the second game on Saturday Weaver hit double digits again with 14 points and Sophie Harris added 10. Sydney Dukes contributed eight points and Ava Warren had seven. The Troubies posted a 49-18 win over Heritage.
In the tournament finale, SF lost a close battle with Carondelet 46-44 as Emily Kroettinger scored 14 and Weaver had 11. Charlotte Gregson-Synhorst contributed eight points.
St. Francis travels to Del Oro on Tuesday for a 4:00 p.m. game.
