Basketball’s Fleming-Mullins Named Delta League Player of the Year

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Senior Mia Fleming-Mullins was named the Delta League Player of the Year as selected by the league coaches. She was among five players recognized with all-league honors.

"It means a lot to earn this honor," said Fleming-Mullins. "I have put so much work into my game over the last four years. It has been a goal of mine since my sophomore year and I could not have accomplished it without my teammates and coaches."

Fleming-Mullins averaged 17.2 points per game to lead the league and ranked No. 114 in the state at the end of the season. She finished with 464 points, the second-best total in school history. Fleming-Mullins also ranked second in the league in rebounding at 7.6 and first in blocks per game (1.7). Overall she had seven double-doubles on the season.

Mackenzie Le and Sarah Cloninger were also named to the All-League first team. Cloninger led the league in rebounds at 9.0 per game and double-doubles (8) and Mackenzie Le led the league in assists per game (5.2) and was second in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.66-1).

Seniors Jasmine Lee and Nicole Rivera ranked 1-2 in three-pointers made per game in the Delta League. They were both named to the Delta League second team and Lee was the Sportsmanship winner.
