Fleming-Mullins Named MVP at Basketball Banquet

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Junior Mia Fleming-Mullins was named the Most Valuable Player for the St. Francis varsity basketball team at their banquet.

Fleming Mullins, who was one of three Troubadours on the All-Delta League first team, was sixth in the league in scoring at 11.6 points per game to earn her first first-team postseason honor. She also grabbed 81.1 rebounds per game to rank second. She was the only player in the league to rank among the top six in both scoring and rebounding.

Senior Nika Bagatelos was the team's Offensive Player of the Year.  She led the team in scoring at 11.7 ppg. While ranking fifth in the league overall. She led the league in three-pointers per game at 2.8 and ranked fourth in the Division I in the state. Her 82 three pointers led the league, ranked as the second-best total in school history and were the second best total in Division I. She was also a first-team all-league selection.

Senior Ally Gage was named the team's Defensive Player of the Year. She averaged seven rebounds per game to rank fifth in the league, earning All-Delta League second-team honors. Gage will be playing soccer at Dominican (Ill.) University in the fall.

Senior Lauren Pank was the Coaches' Award recipient. She was an all-league first team choice after leading the league in assists at 5.2, the sixth-best average in the section and eighth best average in Division 1, for the second consecutive season. Pank's 145 assists ranked as the second-best single-season total in school history, while she finished with 309 assists for her career, one of five players to reach the 300-assist milestone.

Junior Jasmine Lee received the Team Award.
