St. Francis Looking to Fill Head Swimming Coach Position

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Matt Paige has resigned as the St. Francis Head Swimming Coach to accept a new position with a local club. St. Francis will reopen its search to fill the Head Swimming Coach position for the upcoming 2020 season until filled, Athletic Director Mark McGreevy announced.

"Matt has rightly earned a reputation as one of the top up-and-coming coaching talents in the region, so I'm not surprised this kind of career level offer has come his way," said McGreevy.  "Unfortunately, the logistics of his new full-time employment is not conducive to serving simultaneously as the SF coach.  Nonetheless, Matt has expressed to me how difficult this decision was for him to make, which I appreciate.  We all understand the practical considerations that need to be made with this kind of offer.  We are left with a great deal of gratitude for his years of service with Troubie Swim and wish him all the best at DART and in all of his future endeavors."

Paige had served as an assistant coach for the Troubadours for the last five seasons.
