Softball wins on Grace Jenkins Home Run, Strong Pitching

Both teams were strong in the circle Tuesday, but 2019 St. Francis Varsity Softball defeated Rosemont 3-2. 2019 St. Francis Varsity Softball pitchers allowed just eight hits to Rosemont.

In the first inning, 2019 St. Francis Varsity Softball got their offense started.  Grace Jenkins drove in three when she homered.

Arden Hatch led things off in the pitcher's circle for 2019 St. Francis Varsity Softball. She went three innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out two and walking one.

Laemya Banks started the game for Rosemont. She lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out one and walking one.  Grace Taeleifi threw one inning out of the bullpen.

2019 St. Francis Varsity Softball tallied one home run on the day. Jenkins had a homer in the first inning.

2019 St. Francis Varsity Softball scattered eight hits in the game.  Haley Kim and Bella Valentine all managed multiple hits for 2019 St. Francis Varsity Softball.  Valentine and Kim each managed two hits to lead 2019 St. Francis Varsity Softball.  2019 St. Francis Varsity Softball didn't commit a single error in the field. Jenkins had  nine chances in the field, the most on the team.

Samantha Netherton led Rosemont with two hits in two at bats.  Rosemont didn't commit a single error in the field. Shaye Zlatunich had the most chances in the field with five.
