What are your goals and aspirations for this season?
"My goal is to keep progressing as we go on. I have to ease back into because I am coming back from surgery. I thought last week was going to go differently because they were my first games. Actually I thought I did pretty well. We just want to build off our wins and losses and make the most out of the season."
How good does it feel to have your commitment made?
"It feels amazing. It takes off a lot of pressure but it also adds some. I have to keep up my grades, which I do anyway, make sure you are staying on top of your game."
How much pride do you have for Villanova during March Madness?
"Oh my gosh, I am so excited. Every time I watch a game it pumps me up. Not (am I excited for) the team but to go there and be able to experience that energy in the arena. It is amazing to watch them play."
Why did you choose Villanova?
"I chose it for the academics. I love the coaches. When I took the tour with them, I had a real connection. Once I stepped on campus it was where I wanted to be."
How are you trying to get better as a player year to year?
"I want to build off the success and the failure. Failure is a big part of softball. In order to stay on top of your game, you have to be able to stay calm. Having a strong mental game is super important. You have to have short-term memory to forget the bad and build off it."
What are you looking forward to about the spring break trip?
"We are looking forward to seeing different types of competition and be able to play some of the good teams. We want to keep the energy up no matter who we are playing. We want to go all out and try to get the win."
